Palmer spoke to GOAL at the PFA awards this week and was asked to answer the toughest question ahead of receiving his coveted award. The timeless debate over who is the greatest between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo was settled by the 22-year-old, who picked the Argentina World Cup winner over the Champions League icon. Chelsea's top goalscorer from 2023-24 also chose himself to step up and take a penalty if his life was on the line.

Palmer scored nine times from the spot in the Premier League last term so has a strong case to step up and take a penalty with anything on the line. The nine-cap England international has a mix of both Messi and Ronaldo to his game, including the ability to drift past opponents effortlessly before unleashing a powerful strike CR7 himself would be proud of.

Following his successful night out in London, Palmer will return to Chelsea as they prepare for an away trip to Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.
