Pokemon Fan Art Imagines Human Forms for the Regis
One Pokemon fan has created human forms for the Regis, imagining new looks for the iconic pocket monsters. Known as the Legendary Giants, these golem-like creatures are often the subject of various kinds of Pokemon fan art, with their designs being some of the more iconic in the franchise.
One of the popular types of fan art seen on the internet involves imagining what Pokemon would look like as humans. With so many pocket monsters in the franchise, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Unsurprisingly, gamers have already shared some notable concepts, such as a human form for Ogerpon, which included a kanabo club. Now, one fan artist has decided to take this popular idea and apply it to another group of popular Legendaries.
Human Forms for the Regis
In a Reddit post, a user known as Goku-MIEL10032002 shared pictures revealing their human forms for Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki, Regidrago, and Regigigas. Impressively, the artist managed to use the themes of each of the Legendary Pokemon to create distinct yet familiar designs. For example, the human form of Regice wore winter clothing, which had a blueish hue and featured yellow buttons similar to the eyes of the Pokemon. In fact, Goku-MIEL10032002 incorporated patterns into each of the clothing designs to match the eyes of the golems.
While the redesign of Regice had a winter look, the human form of Regirock featured an appropriately muscular physique and clothing with earthy colors. For the new Regidrago form, the artist added a cape that matched the iconic dragon jaws of the Pokemon. Meanwhile, black and gray shades were used in the Registeel artwork to resemble steel, and the character carried a sword. Rounding out the human forms, Regieleki had an electrified design accentuated by chaotic pony tales, while Regigigas looked regal, holding a cane and wearing a long gown. It is worth noting that Goku-MIEL10032002 also included shiny versions, swapping out the color patterns of the standard designs.
Unsurprisingly, these new human forms for the Regis caught the attention of numerous Pokemon fans on the subreddit. So far, the artwork has gained over 1.1K upvotes, with many users complimenting the designs. For example, one fan thought the human forms could make for new in-game Pokemon trainers.
While fan art like this will likely never make it into an official Pokemon game, it is interesting to see imaginative new concepts. As players wait for the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A on October 16, more unique fan art will likely surface for gamers to check out.
