AC Milan have been plunged into chaos as Conceicao's spokesman, Francisco Empis, resigned and admitted that he had passed information to the Italian media that contained "errors and inaccuracies". On Thursday, reports claimed the Milan boss was unhappy with the attitudes of his players, and the club's management.

After that report was proliferated, Conceicao met with Milan's directors and clarified his position in a statement. Now, he says he will take legal action against Empis, who has officially left his role at the club. Empis has admitted he was at fault.

WHAT EMPIS SAID

Empis said: “None of the points have been validated by coach Sergio Conceicao, nor are they binding on him as a professional. Due to the mistake made and the damage caused to his reputation, I immediately resign from my position with the coach.

“The published information contains several errors and inaccuracies, particularly regarding the relationships between team members, the coaching staff, and Milan’s management.

“They do not reflect the truth of the facts but rather rumours and assumptions without any factual basis.”
